The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies.
Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.
Participants will learn proper technique for CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). They will also learn how to respond to sudden illnesses, choking emergencies, life-threatening bleeding, and other injuries and environmental illnesses.
All classroom supplies and equipment are provided. You should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring water, any snacks you need, and a way to take notes.
Red Cross Cerificates are emailed after the instructor submits your successful completion of the class to the Red Cross. The instructor will double check your contact information before class begins.
Class size must have at least two participants and is limited to 12 participants. If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, your payment will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you will receive a 50% refund.
If for some reason the class has to be canceled you will receive a full refund.
The Adult First Aid, CPR/AED class takes three to three and a half hours, depending on how the participants want to take breaks.
